Burger joint Pickl has become the first UAE-based restaurant to enter the metaverse. The food outlet also plans to launch its first virtual restaurant later this year.
UAE Restaurant Goes Metaverse
Pickl customers exploring the Metaverse will be able to participate in brand-themed games, purchase Pickl-inspired NFTs, virtual apparel which can be worn by their virtual avatar or exchanged for Pickl apparel in physical stores. Pickl intends to create a virtual restaurant in the metaverse that would replicate the full customer experience of the real world. The company also plans to integrate a real-world delivery services. For instance, when a customer orders Nashville chicken Sando or double cheeseburger in the metaverse, it will get delivered to their in-real doorsteps.

In the short term, we will be able to hold meetings with our international teams and showcase our brand to our franchise partners in the metaverse, giving us greater global reach than ever before,” Pickl founder and CEO, Steve Flawith, said.
